Former governor of Alaska Sarah Palin will be providing political commentary on Fox “News”. When asked during her interview if she was qualified for the job, Ms. Palin replied: “I believe that I am because I have common sense and I have — I believe the values that are reflective of so many other American values. And I believe that what Americans are seeking is not the elitism, the kind of a spineless — a spinelessness that perhaps is made up for that with some kind of elite Ivy League education and a fat resume that’s based on anything but hard work and private sector, free enterprise principles. Americans are — could be seeking something like that in positive change in their leadership. I’m not saying that that has to be me.”
If that didn’t seal the deal, then maybe it was her very impressive 6-month internship with the White House Department of Law that landed her the job.
Earlier Monday morning, the former governor commented on her new job in a bizarre statement put out by BSMP, LLC., (the pubic relations firm of Palin’s 19-year-old daughter Bristol). “Who calls a shot like that? Who makes a decision like that? It’s a disturbing trend,” she writes. Ms. Palin also thanked God saying “This is God’s back-up plan for me, you betcha. ‘I’m like, OK, God, if there is an open door for me somewhere, this is what I always pray, I’m like, don’t let me miss the open door. Show me where the open door is.’ And wow, did He ever! But let me be perfectly clear and say that this is NOT in any way God’s ‘Plan B’ for me because God would never endorse such an evil thingy.”
Palin’s multi-year contract requires her to wink at least twice in every broadcast.
